Jeffrey Bernstein is the Managing Director and a co-founder of Critical Defence.

Mr. Bernstein has 18 years of cybersecurity industry experience leading organizations dedicated to the protection of critical electronic computing infrastructure. Mr. Bernstein’s competencies as an industry expert include cyber-security risk management, national infrastructure protection planning, cyber-warfare, cyber-espionage, cyber-terror, critical infrastructure protection, SDL security, cyber forensics, open source intelligence gathering, legal and regulatory compliance, security awareness, SIEM and intrusion detection and prevention. He has written several information security white papers, is a regular Contributor to USA Today, been published both domestically and internationally, and regularly presents at security industry conferences and events.

Recent notable appearances include a series of presentations on the “Malicious Insider Threat,” lectures at New York University on Critical Infrastructure Protection for a Masters Studies Program and an interview on ABC television relating to the protection of the NYC watershed and several television appearances relating to the Equifax cybersecurity breach.

Tom Goodman, Senior Account Executive, Federal Reserve Bank

Tom is responsible for building and strengthening relationships with financial institutions and for marketing the Fed’s financial services, such as Fedwire® funds transfer, ACH, and share draft clearing (including Check 21 services). Tom has a 20 year background in payments, correspondent banking, mergers/acquisitions and customer relations.

Tom was raised in NJ, attended Rutgers College of Engineering, and now resides in Ridgewood, NJ with his wife and three daughters.  Tom and his family can often be found biking and kayaking throughout NY & NJ.

Steve Hawk, Co-Founder/Co-CEO, Derivative Path, Inc.

Steve Hawk is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Derivative Path, Inc.  Prior to this, Steve was with Wells Fargo and one of its acquired institutions, Wachovia Bank, for 18 years.  Steve’s experience includes 7 years of direct corporate/commercial derivative sales coverage, and 11 years of derivative sales management and business leadership.  Steve began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, where he helped to establish and lead Latin American Interest Rate Derivatives Marketing.  Steve received a BSBA from Georgetown University where he graduated cum laude with a concentration in Finance.

Scott Hildenbrand, Principal / Chief Balance Sheet Strategist, Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P

Scott Hildenbrand is a Principal and Chief Balance Sheet Strategist of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. He runs the firm’s balance sheet strategy development efforts for financial institutions, which include interest rate risk management, investment portfolio strategy, retail and wholesale funding management, derivative strategy, capital planning, budgeting, and stress testing.   Hildenbrand also works closely with the firm’s Investment Banking Group to identify and develop strategic opportunities for clients involved in mergers and acquisitions.  Mr. Hildenbrand previously worked in Sandler O’Neill’s Interest Rate Products Group, focusing on developing and implementing derivative and structured wholesale funding strategies for financial institutions.

Tim Meell, Regional Sales Director, BankSight

Tim Meell has nearly 20 years of sales and sales management experience serving U.S. retail banking firms. He has helped banks of all sizes profitably grow their businesses through the effective use of analytical insights and technology. He joined BankSight from Earnix, a leading global provider of pricing analytics and software. Prior to Earnix, Mr. Meell served as Director of Strategic Accounts at Experian Decision Analytics, where he delivered software, custom analytics and fraud solutions to top-tier banks. Earlier, Mr. Meell held a senior sales management role at IXI Corp. (a division of Equifax), a leading provider of wealth segmentation solutions. He has also managed sales teams and served major accounts for data and technology platform providers such as IDT Corporation, eFunds, and Deluxe Corporation.

William Nowik, CISA, CISSP, QSA, PCIP, Principal – Wolf & Company, P.C.

 Will is a Principal in Wolf’s Information Technology (IT) Assurance Services group where he is responsible for managing a team of professionals to ensure that his clients receive IT services that are tailored to their individual needs. Prior to joining Wolf in 2002, Will held an internal IT auditor role with Staples, Inc.  Will has performed consulting services for various industries including Financial, Technology, Healthcare, and Government. His consulting experience includes cybersecurity, IT risk management, network infrastructure and design, Microsoft Windows & Active Directory security, VMware security, IBM iSeries (AS/400) security, Oracle Database security, wireless network security, web applications, firewalls, business continuity planning and disaster recovery, incident response, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, social engineering testing, application security reviews, and  policy and procedure development. In addition to the areas noted above, Will has helped his clients implement information security programs that comply with Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA), Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), state privacy laws, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) Act.

Brian Porter, Vice President, Professional Services, Americas, Glory Global Solutions

Brian Porter has more than 25 years of experience in retail banking and strategy consulting, with particular expertise in developing and implementing strategies to transform the branch consumer experience, and increase operational efficiency. He spent the first half of his career on the business development side as an Account Manager and National Account Manager for Glory solving FI cash management issues. He worked and lived in Western Europe consulting with major FI’s in France/Belgium/Netherlands/Germany as they transformed their branch networks throughout Western Europe. For the past 5 years he led 2 different Advisory Services Organizations in the FI space developing a Change Management strategy for FI’s as they move into different delivery channels and focus more on the consumer experience.

Porter holds a BA in International Relations from Western Washington University, and currently resides in Seattle, Washington.

Carolyn J Rivera, Chief Learning Officer, ath Power Consulting

Carolyn J Rivera is a motivational, speaker, author, leadership expert/coach, and reality television star.  Carolyn’s professional career is rooted in the corporate world where she has worked for Fortune 50 companies for over 30 years focusing on Leadership Development. Carolyn currently is Chief Learning Officer for ath Power Consulting where she has build the Learning and Development arm of the business. Carolyn has been successful at working with leaders to increase their results by creating an engaged workforce.  Leadership is a passion for Carolyn and she uses her talent to help people achieve results far beyond their initial expectations.

Carolyn auditioned for Survivor for four years before she was selected as a candidate. She was tireless in her ambition and motivation, which was ultimately recognized when she finished as runner up. Carolyn thrived as a contestant on Survivor.  Carolyn’s background in leadership aided her in her success, as she was accustomed to pushing beyond her personal limits and igniting her will to win.

Carolyn is married to Jo’el Rivera and they have 3 children.  Gabi, Dani, and JJ.  Carolyn works with 3 charities in her spare time.  Give Kids The World, Cheer For Your Life, and Warriors of Purpose.  She loves adventure, karaoke and having fun!

Robert H. Rosenzweig, RPLU, National CyberRisk Practice Leader, Risk Strategies Company

Robert H. Rosenzweig, RPLU, is the National CyberRisk Practice Leader at Risk Strategies Company. In this role Rob over sees all the firm’s cyber professionals and works directly with the firm’s clients and prospects on creating comprehensive and customized coverage for their data security, privacy, and errors & omissions exposures. Rob is also responsible for coordinating the firm’s overall cyberstrategy nationally. A published writer on cyber liability topics, he also has participated on panels and led seminars on a variety of related topics. Rob currently holds a designation as a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter and he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government & Economics from Hamilton College.

Jeff Winter, Senior Vice President, Business Development, NewGround

Jeff brings a wealth of experience in marketing, business development, management and client retention to NewGround. As Senior Vice President of Business Development, he is responsible for the overall management of NewGround’s Business Development and Marketing teams through the development and implementation of business development strategies.

Jeff’s relevant experience includes operations, corporate leadership coaching and industry best practices, product and services development, start-up experiences, private equity management, and incubation of consulting practices. Jeff’s career experience includes the Chief of Staff role for KPMG LLP, where he led strategy and development efforts for the firm.

Jeff holds an undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Administration from Westminster College and has graduate’s degree, M.B.A., from Webster University in Finance. Jeff also has completed post-graduate work in strategy and marketing from Washington University.
